If you want to be successful in business, you’ll need to understand how to generate leads for your business. This can seem daunting at first glance, but when you break it down into 5 simple steps, generating leads becomes easier than you might think! Follow these tips below to learn how to generate leads on your own and start seeing the results you’ve been hoping for in your business growth.
Step 1 – Build up an email list
The first step is to get an email list of targeted people that are interested in what you have to offer. Building up a list early will help you make more connections, keep leads engaged and be able to produce content on a consistent basis. Once you get started, it’s important that you set aside time each week (at least) to create content, which means coming up with different topics that your audience might find interesting. If possible, try creating content that allows prospects and customers relevant links they can use as resources on their journey through life. Your goal here is not only drive traffic from within your website but also from other places online by giving people insights or tips via social media posts or any other channels where people might come across them.
Step 2 – Create a series of lead magnet emails
If you haven’t yet, create a series of lead magnet emails that offer your audience valuable content. Free resources, step-by-step tutorials, checklists or templates are some examples of what can serve as lead magnets. It’s important that your content actually helps your audience and not just serves as a way to get people into a sales funnel. If you have trouble thinking of topic ideas, ask yourself: What content do I provide my audience with that they love? What topics are related to what my brand is about? What would make my life easier if someone sent it to me as an email every week?
Step 3 – Implement retargeting on your website
Retargeting (also known as remarketing) is a great way to bring potential customers back to your website, but only if you use it correctly. There are numerous ways you can implement retargeting, but one of my favorites is by using retargeting ads through Facebook. You’ll need at least an email address and name or a phone number, depending on what type of ads you want to run.
Step 4 – Use autoresponders to follow up with customers
Email marketing has increased in popularity over the last decade as one of the most effective and affordable ways to reach your audience. Since your customers want relevant information about your products and services, use autoresponders to create a sequence of messages that provide updates on sales, new features or changes with your company, news that may affect them or their business. For example, if someone has bought something from you in the past few weeks, they may be interested in related offers.
Step 5 – Run Facebook ads
Facebook ads are a cost-effective way of generating targeted leads and driving traffic to a landing page.
